Win Like a Woman (Keynote or Workshop series)
One of the biggest factors impacting a woman’s success in the workplace is how well she is able to handle conflict. Another is how well she is able to negotiate for herself, her team, and her principles. Karen uncovers the obstacles most women’s experience which discourage them from leaning into difficult situations in contrast to their male counterparts and illustrates how to overcome them. Participants will understand the five conflict management styles, identify their preferred style, and learn how to use all of them appropriately. To resolve conflict, they will learn communication techniques to be more effective leaders and advocates for themselves and their teams. This talk is excellent for an all-female audience, but also is a highly effective educational experience for men who work with women.

Discover the inner fears that keeps you from being authentic and trap you into people-pleasing. Learn how the brain works to fulfill your thoughts and how you can take charge of your negative self-talk. Too often our lives and decision-making are based on short term thinking, stressing about things that won’t matter 30 days from now let alone three years from today. In this session the you will develop a vision that will bridge the gap of the next five years and will understand how to use it to help you make decisions and choices now to achieve it. You will learn a new way to look at today’s ‘crises’ and evaluate it in light of those goals. Leave with a positive direction for your future in writing, tools to help you think about longterm impact about your choices, and a list of resources you will pursue to achieve their goals.
